An electric cart for greenhouses and high tunnels

No fumes under plastic.

Inside a greenhouse or high tunnel, exhaust has nowhere to go. That rules out gas carts, and leaves a lot of carrying: flats in, potting mix in, harvest out.

Why this job is harder than it should be

Gas equipment isn't welcome in enclosed growing spaces. Hand carts are slow, and center aisles are often narrow.

How the WorkWagon helps

Zero exhaust

Electric drive produces no fumes inside the structure.

Center-aisle friendly

At 800 mm (31.5 in) wide, it fits center aisles wider than about 32 in.

Full trays, flat deck

Standard 10 × 20 in flats lay flat across the 1,500 × 800 mm (59.1 × 31.5 in) deck.

Soil and amendments in

Bring bagged potting mix and compost right to the benches.

Common questions

Is it safe to use inside a greenhouse?

It's electric and produces no exhaust. As with any equipment, keep it away from standing water.

Will it fit in my high tunnel?

It needs an aisle wider than about 32 in, since it is 800 mm (31.5 in) wide.

Can I add shelving?

Yes. Bolt-on or strapped racks are fine; don't modify the electrical system.
